Bolo Information

A bolos, or bolo tie, is a cord fastened around the neck with an ornamental clasp, worn as a necktie. Western elegance would not be the same without a shirt fastened with a bolo tie. However, despite their continued popularity in some parts, bolos are considered a little passé for the average Joe trying to adopt the cowboy look.

The advantage of bolo ties is that men who feel too self-conscious to wear jewelry can use them to accessorize. Therefore, cowboys traditionally had the option of remaining ‘manly’ yet dressing up for an occasion such as rodeo event or dance.
