Western Belt Buckles and Bolos

Howdy Partners', this is ol' Rex Beerbot and I'm here to give ya the lowdown on western belt buckles! Have look-see through my site and enjoy!

Western-style belt buckles and bolos are two of the most important western wear accessories. Belt buckles are the ornamental centerpieces that are attached to the belt, whilst the bolo tie is worn much like a tie. It has a 36" braided leather strap that is put around the neck and under the collar. A smallish decorative piece slides up and down the two braided straps so that it forms a loop that goes around the neck. It is then slid up to the shirt collar. It clips into place and locks via a fastener on the back of the decorative piece. To loosen it, you lift the fastener on the back and slide the decorative part back down until the loop is big enough to remove it over your head.

Belt buckles range from extremely large Texas state seals, oil derricks, and Jack Daniels emblems to simple, elegant silver buckles, tips, and keepers. They allow the wearer to express him or self, and it is thought that a real Texan never buys a leather belt that comes stock with a buckle. They are always chosen and bought separately if credibility is important to the cowboy at hand.
